The Scottish Fishermen’s Federation (SFF) has confirmed that it will sponsor Skipper Expo Int. Aberdeen 2016 – the fourth year in a row it has supported Scotland’s flagship fisheries exhibition.

Skipper Expo Int. Aberdeen 2016 will take place on 27 and 28 May at the Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre. The annual show has experienced sustained growth since it was first launched in 2010 and strong interest is once again being shown in this year’s forthcoming event.

Bertie Armstrong, chief executive of the SFF said: “We are delighted to be supporting Skipper Expo Int. Aberdeen 2016, which is an event that is going from strength to strength. With the majority of our fish stocks in a healthy state, the Scottish fishing industry has much to be optimistic about and the Aberdeen expo will form a fantastic showcase for the industry.”

Highlights will include fishing vessel displays and exhibitors will cover all areas of the fishing sector, including marine electronics, engine suppliers, fishing gear, safety equipment, creels, chandlery and deck machinery.

Sharon Boyle of show organiser Mara Media said: “We are thrilled that the Scottish Fishermen’s Federation is throwing its support once again behind Skipper Expo Int. Aberdeen. We have had a huge amount of interest in this year’s show, most notably from overseas exhibitors, so it promises to be another tremendous event with plenty to interest fishermen.”
